TN in Nov/Dec
Any locals in TN have advice on whether or not TN is livable in Nov/Dec? Don't really like the cold anymore lol
45 minutes from Nashville and 1.5 from Knoxville

I'm with you as I'm not crazy about the cold anymore either. We typically stay in the Knoxville/Gatlinburg area through December to do the holidays with family. Weather varies widely in the late fall & early winter here. We've seen an over night temp of Zero the last 2 years and snow. Also can see temps in the 70s.

Thanks Steve
I can handle a few nights of snow or zero temps for a couple of days but longer than that I worry about freezing pipes.

In Tennessee those low temps are over quickly as a rule.

We have a cabin near Knoxville at and the weather can be freezing and even in the 20s in Dec and have it can snow a few inches. Then it can be 75% and sunny. Normally not that bad but varies a lot.

So....Smithville/Baxter area? I went to college in Cookeville (about an hour East of Nashville) and lived there for 4.5 yrs, I remember getting a decent (3") snow one time and it stayed around for maybe 3 days. It would get down in the lower 20's sometimes in the dead of Winter, but could be 65F two days later.
We have a saying here - If you don't like the current weather in TN, give it a few hours".
We're 15 miles North of Nashville, lived in the area for the past 39 years. I can remember many Christmas' wearing shorts and a t-shirt and grilling out......wishing it was cold and snowing.
Last winter we might have gotten 1" of snow and it lasted 1/2 day max.
I believe Christmas day was in the upper 60's and sunny.
If you get up on the Cumberlan Plateau about 1.5 hrs East of Nashville (I-40E) you're likely to see a little more snow and cooler temps, but nothing extreme or long lasting.
In general, TN has pretty mild winters and that includes East TN in the higher elevations.
We camped all winter long this past year and mostly stayed 2-4 hrs East or NE of Nashville and rarely ever turned our propane furnace on. We stayed in Townsend over New Years and it did get down in the 20's at night, but was back up in the 50's during the day. We mostly just used our small ceramic electric heater and stayed very comfortable.

Not sure where. Only hint I have is the 45 minutes from Nashville and 1.5 from Knoxville range. Potential nursing contract for my wife. Would have to get exact location then see if RV parking is available and then decide where o go for rest of winter.

Like others have said it can vary wildly. Check this out for Dec data - https://www.wunderground.com/history...eqdb.wmo=99999
