Too Hot in Yuma too cold in Idaho

Today April 10th I am in Yuma AZ. I was going to head up to Idaho on April 1st to visit family and friends but it is still snowing in Idaho. It is too hot to stay any longer in Yuma. What are some good places to stop for a couple of days each heading north along I-15 where it will be cooler but not too cold.

I don't have an answer for you but I'm super jealous of the predicament you're in. I have to go to work tomorrow.

Pick some spots along your route north and check the 30 day forecast....

We left Quartzsite last Sunday and we’re currently in Joshua Tree NP. Cooler here at 4000 feet. You have lots of options as you head north. Think altitude at this point. Winslow AZ, 29 Palms, Pahrump, lots of places.

Pahrump NV, higher in altitude that Las Vegas and with that cooler temps . Has a couple of great RV parks. Friends spend weeks there when the head south to Lake Havasu City in early Oct. while they wait for cooler temps , further south.

Moab area if you're going up I15.

Seven Feathers if you're going through Oregon.

Either way (we haven't decided yet ourselves as we are headed to Summer Camp at Stone Ridge in Idaho)...are winners.

We're hanging tough, and hot, in Yuma before heading to Stoneridge. Want to visit King's Canyon/Sequoia National Park on the journey so waiting a few more weeks for the snow to be gone. Temps here are going down to comfortable level in the next week. Enjoying it!

The Zion NP area is having awesome temperatures this coming week - ideal for hiking. Coral Sands State Park near Kanab, UT is very scenic and if you're an animal lover take a tour in Kanab at the Best Friends Animal Sancturary.

Prescott or Sedona are nice and cooler than Yuma.

We've spent a couple to Jan/Feb in Yuma, I always wondered how long one could stay before the heat set in. Where do you stay in Yuma?
