Top 10 spots in the USA

If you had to list your top 10 favorites sites, parks or destinations in the continental United States, what would they be?

1) Nehalem Bay State Park (Oregon Coast) i.e. walk to Manzanita... gorgeous beach. Beautiful shore pines.

Grand Canyon ; both rims.
Zion & Bryce Canyons
Yellowstone , in winter & summer.
Personally I would say that visiting as many of the American or Canadian, National Parks; as possible should be on anyone's bucket, list.
Yosemite is next for me.
A great deal of time and energy has gone into the creation and preservation of National Parks on both sides of our borders, and seeing/ visiting them is a pleasure.

I've been to the south rim but am wondering what main differences at the notrth rim do you notice compared to the south rim.

So much we have yet to see and each new adventure adds a new favorite to any list we would create. Right now, in no particular order:

All the parks in Utah + Park City and Sundance
MesaVerde NP + Durango, Denver and Golden CO.
Yellowstone NP
Yosemite NP
Lake Tahoe California and Nevada, still haven't seen anyplace more beautiful.
Death Valley NP, what a surprise!
California wine country, pick any one of them.

We're excited to see what adds we have from this years travels.

We are young and not retired yet and I am sure we will find many more some of the closest and favorites are
#1 Core banks North Carolina ( island access by small ferry no roads just beautiful beach) 4wheel drive access no charge it's a shell hunters paradise
#2 Assateague Island National Seashore Maryland go camp with the Pony's and drive on the beach 24 hr access .
#3 and a must see if you our visiting cape cod mass. The light house 4x4 beach in P Town go swim with the seals !
As you can tell we love the beach haha

North Rim's added elevation, 2,000' if memory serves, and different vegetation , viewing angle compared to the sunlight, seemed like an entirely different place. It's been a lot of years, maybe I'll get back on my way to Monument Valley and 4 Corners.

The only way to see the Grand Canyon is rim to rim across the bottom. Did that at age 13. Don't think at 62 I have the capacity to do it again. May try down and back in a month from the South Rim. North Rim is truly beautiful.

It's at a higher elevation, cooler temps, not near as busy, it has more pull offs for viewing and better access by car to the canyon. We approached the canyon from the north, stayed in Jacob Lake @ Kaibab RV Village and drove to the North Rim on 67. Closer to the canyon, it's rolling hills and forest on winding road. Kind of reminded me of some of the hills in WV.

We enjoy the South Rim as well, stayed at Canyon Gateway Park in Williams and did a great Jeep ride to the top of Bill Williams Mtn. The south side was packed...this was in August.
