My wife and I have made reservations for the week after Christmas . The site we'll have is # 162 , I had a couple of questions. Has anybody stayed on this site ? if so how was it. Restaurants , are there any nice ones close to the park ? We like to eat breakfast out.

Thanks

We have stayed there a number of times. If you can get site 137 or 138 you will be next to a sand trail that leads to the beach, about 1 mile walk - good for the dog. There is a great place for breakfast close by. You will be on 30A. Take a left out of the park to RT 98. Take a left on Rt. 98. There is a restaurant on the left about .5 mile, don't remember the name but the park attendent should know. Lot's of food and home made pies.

Here is site 162. It's a nice site. There are plenty of seafood restaurants in the area.
If you just want some good seafood and don't mind just a plain Jane restaurant then "Elmos" right outside the gate is good. Turn right onto 30A and it is just a ways down on your right. Not much to look at but they have pretty good food. they serve beer and wine as well if you are into that. On Friday nights they have all you can eat grouper and Saturday nights all you can eat Snow Crab legs for a good price.

For breakfast I would recommend the "donut hole". Turn left leaving the campground and once back onto hwy 98 turn left and it is just a little ways on your left. Great Place and great food.

Take a look at this site. The person taking the photos has captured every site.
Here is the site you asked about:
Site 162

All sites in Topsail are nice. In fact, this is one of the best parks in the US and just happens to be run by the FL state parks. Loads of restaurants nearby and the beach is GREAT. Nice walking paths or take a tram to the beach. Hope to be there a month later ourselves.
