We have to go to Panama City Beach (work) in Jan until Spring. Kids & pets will most likely be with us. Am I understanding what I have read correctly? Is there a stay limit on the campsites at this park?

Yes, Top sail is a Florida State park and Florida has a two week maximum stay time limit. I'm not sure what you have to do to stay longer but I do know that if the campground is not full that you can somehow stay longer. Check out and back in maybe. You have to check with the front office at the campground.

Having lived in Panama City for years you should be advised that it will take almost a hour of driving time from Panama City Beach to Top Sail. That time of year though, the traffic will be at its minium.

I contacted the park via e-mail & got a response (same day... AMAZING! )

This may be repeated up to 3 times, for a total of 42 days within a 6 month period at any one Florida State Park. One could stay 14 days, but must leave the park campground for a 24 hour period, and then return for another 2 week stay. This can only be done by reserving a site prior to arrival through Reserve America, 1-800-326-3521 or http://www.ReserveAmerica.com

This is a handy thing to know that we could do this at ANY FL State Park. I have noted this down in my current campground directory.

St.Andrew State Park is right ther across the bridge from PC and would be much more convenient.
