Touring with the Grateful Dead!!

Next week my son and I along with 3 other buddies will be heading out to Philly for the Grateful Dead show, or "Furthur featuring Bob Weir and Phil Lesh" as they are now called. we will be meeting up with a bunch of guys who I used to schlep us and down the east coast with back in the eighties catching shows.

My son who is now 20 years old and is a Biomedical Major at Worcester Polytechnic Institute found my old box of bootleg tapes in the cellar and fell in love with the music all on his own.

This year we decided to follow the band for a week. The only difference is we are going to travel in our Monaco Windsor. Not like the eighties when we lived out of the back of a van and took baths in rivers if we where lucky!

Our tour will consist of Philly on the 13th, New Hampshire on the 16th, two shows in Boston on the 17th and 18th, then out to Canandaigua New York for the 19th.

If anyone is going to any of these shows let us know and it would be nice to meet!

Sometimes the light's all shining on me. Other times I can barely see. Lately it occurs to me...

Always carry an extra ticket in case ya find a cute little twirly girl in the parking lot. She can make happy, any man alive.

No better sounding 10 words sung IMHO than
We can share the women. We can share the wine.

Have not seen since Willies 4th of July Picnic in '03.

Enjoy the shows. RIP Jerry. RIP

Another buddy of mine lives in Dallas, if they come to that area my son and I are going to make the hike down to the big D to see them with my buddy!

I'm thinking about putting a big "Steal Your Face" on the back of the coach and having
"Going where the climate suits my clothes" Or "Going where the water tastes like wine"
printed underneath it. The only problem is I haven't been able to find a big stealy.

Dallas got a soft machine - so they don't visit often. Going where the climate suits my clothes is a dead on!

Sounds like a great trip! Let us know how it goes. Hard to believe little Bobby is 65. Two years ago flew to SF to see Jorma and Bromberg at Fillmore. Bromberg was 65 then and Jorma was 70 at the time as I recall. We should all be grateful we're alive to be dead heads and era music fans.
