Travel scavenger hunt interest?

I am pitching a book proposal to an editor and would like to get your feedback. You may or may not be familiar with the urban adventure-type scavenger hunts that are walking tours of urban areas. I want to write books for fulltimers and other travelers that are long-distance scavenger hunts, each covering about 1/6th of the country or so. They would lead you to little-known places, and fun and quirky points of interest. No time limit. As a fulltimer, I think this would be lots of fun, but I need your input. Would you enjoy something like this? Would you buy a book with the tour information? Would it be better to do only one state per book? Any responses are welcome. Thanks very much.
