We just got home from a one night stay at Compton's Ridge campground.
Compton Ridge, Branson Missouri The workers were very friendly and helpful. It was clean, all hookups worked fine, except the wifi which was a strong signal, but kept kicking us off. (no big downloads, just surfing this site mainly) No biggy as we take our own mobile hotspot. (T-mobile) It worked fine there. From the part we saw, it was Very wooded/shady.
Now,,, they put us in a small section that contains seasonal workers living there, the sites were Very hard to get into, although ours was fairly level, (freight truck driver here) lock to lock on the steering up and back a few times getting in and out. It was VERY noisy, busy road less than 100 yds away, and the "locals" had a Loud party way past 10pm. Not to mention you are maybe 1/2 mile away from Silver Dollar City, train whistles, music, etc. The cafe is seasonal, didn't open till today, (Thurs-Sat) and yes we were planning on eating there. The water spicket leaked like a ####, but didn't effect pressure. (no leaks at our hose, but at the freeze proof valve) We had a beautiful view of the dumpsters and maintenance area.
To be as fair as possible, this is a Big place, and I would think/hope the rest of the campground is quieter. "IF" we ever go there again, I'll tell them we have a 37' motor home instead of a 27', and want Peace and Quiet. They might have put us there as it was close to the off leash dog park, which we don't use anyway. We always carry plastic bags when walking Anywhere to clean up after the kids.
It has great reviews, so I'd want to believe they shoe horned us into the Wrong section. Tall Pines campground is right next door, so I would bet it is noisy too.

X2 on this park. Stayed here for a week, back in May. Super nice owners and they were running the shuttle service at that time.

Really need a Toad if you want to see Branson.

We love it at Acorn Acres. Very quiet, treated like family. About 7 miles from Theatr district and 12 from downtown.Spacious sites. We are in a 38ft MH Back in sites are larger.

Just returned from a 5 day stay at Lakeside RV and loved it - have stayed there 5 times now. Be sure and get reservations - We were told October is their busiest month and every spot was full at the Lakeside.
