Travel to Charlotte/Fort Mill

I will need to travel to Charlotte NC/Fort Mill SC in late Oct. My question is - Has anyone ever stayed at the Charlotte/Fort Mill KOA Journey? I will be there for 4 nights in a 40ft DP with a tow. Would like to know if campground is easy to get around in and how the sites are. Thank You.

I’ve been there a couple of times. Nice place, like a lot of parks has a large group of campers that have been there for years but they are in their own area. There is a supermarket right next door which is convenient. Staff is very nice. There is a mix of size campers but you will fit with no problem.

We stayed there a few weeks ago to watch our granddaughter play soccer. It was a good campground for a base to travel to and from the soccer fields. You check in a the convenience store and they direct you to your spot. It was pouring rain when we arrived and just sat in the parking lot waiting for it to let up a bit. Well, here comes a guy on a golf cart and directs us to our spot (we had reservations) and said to settle up at the store at our convenience.

As mentioned there is a nice food store just down the road along with plenty of restaurants and gas stations.

We needed to leave a day earlier than planned and were credited for the day as we left before checkout.

We will use this campground again on our next visit to the area.

Bon voyage!

Patrick
