Traveling GA to CO next week

Traveling from GA to CO next week. Was planning on running up through Tennessee/Kentucky and then across southern Illiois/Indiana to pick up I-70 across Kansas.

Any current weather problems on that route (other than just freaking cold)?

According to my weather app there does not appear to by any moisture in forecast for Kansas City area after this weekend. Unless you have certain places to stay or prople to see on your planned root I would stay south out of the road salt. Have a safe trip. What part if Colorado are you headed to?

I just traveled from Denver to Cincinnati using I-70 & I-74 Thurs. & Fri. No issues but lots of salt on roads. Watch weather reports before you go. On the way west before Christmas we had rain for 550 miles then it turned to ice, so we stopped for the night. I didn't do this trip in our RV, used our Subaru. Next day we had snow and ice for 100 miles. Just pay attention to the reports, park it if you need to.

We live in Kansas City, MO. The forecast is for 2-4 inches of snow starting tonight and the volume increases to the east. The St. Louis forecast is 10 inches, then the "polar vortex" arrives with - double digit wind chills!

Breckenridge. Time to pop on the skis and make some tracks!

I don't really have anything between here and there. What route would you suggest? I looked at the map and the alternatives seemd to add several hundred miles. But I'm open for suggestions.

You don't really have another option. From you up to Chattanooga then Nashville to St. Louis and i70 shows 1510 miles. The only other possible option is from your location to Birmingham to Memphis to OKC then north to I 70. That distance calculates to 1645. They forgot to run interstates straight east and west. Good luck on your trip. Enjoy your skiing. They received a foot of new snow from the last storm. I won't get to sky till March.
