I would recommend taking 375 around town unless you really need to go through town for some strange reason. Lot less traffic and great drive.

Same goes for DFW. Avoid at all costs.

X2 on 375 around El Paso. Drove from TX to AZ in Oct. Really enjoyed the trans mountain bypass. Some construction on i10 from 375 heading west through Anthony but otherwise ok.

I don't like the I-10 through El Paso. It's a knuckle whitener.

I don't like driving thru El Paso on I-10 even in a car. Take 375.

I would not drive thru during the day. Both times that I drove straight thru, it was real early in the morning. I believe is was around 5:00 am. There was some construction (a few years ago) on the east side of town, but nothing that was a big deal that early in morning. But, as other have said, Any time during the day, TAKE 375 bypass. It is a nightmare on I-10 during daylight hours.

Just took it west bound 2 weeks ago. Will never do it again. West bound on the west side has 9 foot wide lanes that dive left and right through the construction. Came as close as I ever have to folding the rig up into a ball of aluminum. One area on west side has the right lane going off on a curve to the right with no "dotted" line as is normal for losing a lane and you don't see it until its too late to get over in the construction area. Real PITA.

We always take the loop, we don't go over the mountain but around the mountain. E to W you take 375-54-3255-404, little traffic.

We went through there last week. With the road construction, and narrow k-rail lined lanes everywhere, it wasn’t a pleasant experience. Can anyone explain what the green down arrow lights are that are above the lanes? Some were on, some were off. We couldn’t figure out what message they were trying to convey. We were quite relieved when we pulled into the KOA in Las Cruces for the night.

I believe that the down green arrow is universal for "This lane open." Had it been a red "X" it would have been restricted. They use those to control traffic.

We usually get on where I10 and 375 intersect. I think it is the exit just past the Flying J.
