We are planning to travel to Glacier NP in July. We have a 36' RV. Where should we stay and do you think we need reservations?

We stayed at the KOA in Saint Mary on the east side of the park. Very nice campground clean quiet great staff a little remote on the east side.
If you want to be closer to stores and such I would stay in West Glacier.
I would make reservations for that time of year.We went in July and made reservations ahead of time.
Great Park your going to love it.

If you are headed to West Glacier, take a look at Glacier Campground. It is the closest commercial CG to the entrance. we stayed there a few years back and it was great. trees and wooded sites rather than a parking lot atmosphere. Restaurant on site. Only problem is no sewer, just a dump station. However it is easily accessible. (Prices were great too, compared to the other parks in the area)

We found the West Glacier KOA a very nice family RV park when we stayed there in July '07.
Reservations, definitely!
Enjoy the sights!!!

We have stated at Mountain Meadows RV Park in Hungary Horse MT. Nice Campground convenient to West Entrance of GNP, and Kalispel. Good Sam park.
