I typically use www.weather.com for weather forecasts ... and simple Google queries when I'm looking to know what to expect for temperatures in a given area at a given time of the year. A simple query for things like "October temperatures in ______" usually gets me what I'm looking for. Results often include stuff from local weather sources as well as from the Climate - United States - Monthly averages .

weatherunderground.com has a trip planner that includes weather on the day you'll be different places. It only works 3-4 days out but its a good gauge to see if you'll be hitting storms and its better to hunker down for a day and let the weather pass.

In the App Store search for "Weather On Wheels". Allows you to plan your route and gives you the weather results before you leave and during your trip. Been using this app for over a year and love it.

Thanks, I think this is what I used before. Changed to Windows 10 now a few programs aren't working as they used to.

Trip planning including weather

Weather on wheels is not a windows 10 app. You can get it for IOS or Android.

Cool

You can also go to their website and plan a trip. No need for the app to play...I'm using a MacBook, but that should make no difference.

Here's a link: Weather on Wheels

FWIW...I have no affiliation with this company....

Thanks for pointing this out. Actually visiting the site is how I found out they also have the app.

I don't plan more than about 10 days out other than general temp of given areas. Use Accu Weather and Rainy Days apps on the smart phone as well as weather channel on TV. Then plan route to next destination on the GPS with a search of boondocking or RV parks at the destination.
