Welcome to the forum.

You are joining a good group of folks here with good info to share.

Where are you leaving from. There are a couple of COE parks outside of town if you like avoiding the crowded feel of an RV resort.

Good luck and enjoy the adventure!

Will it be in the next couple months or summer? Likely to hit snow now.

Branson is a great place to visit. Good times spent with the people I love. Check this video you will be excited.

Anyway, to give you an idea of what route will be good for traveling, please let me know where from you're leaving?

Most of the scenic part of that drive is going to be at the western end, in Idaho through eastern Wyoming. Though even here the most attractive part of these states will be well off the I80 route you are likely to take. Once you get much east of Cheyenne, WY things are going to get fairly boring until you reach Kansas City, or so. This is not to say that there are not places worth stopping in Nebraska, or Kansas, it just depends on your interest. There is the Cosmosphere space museum in Hutchinson, KS, also in Hutchinson is the Stratica salt mine museum where you travel down a mine shaft 600 feet below ground to see the no longer active portion of a salt mine. If driving across Nebraska there are other bits of interesting Americana, like the Archway, an enclosed log bridge across I80 in Kearney Nebraska, also in Kearney is the car collection museum, showcasing over 200 classic cars, most of which are privately owned and on loan to the museum.

Be aware that on I-80 at the east side of Laramie there's a long steep pull........If you want to miss Salt Lake City, there is a short cut the trucks use......gets you into Wyoming quicker and is shorter...brings you out close to Little America....

The short cut that Bob Caldwell is talking about is from I-15 south of Pocatello, ID Maccammon, ID take 30 to I-80, joins I-80 west of little America, pull into the truck stop at the convenients store and get a $0.75 soft ice cream cone, they also “build” a outstanding hamburger.
