TripnPlanning software

For several years I used Trailer Life's software for planning routes and selecting campgrounds/RV parks. It seems a few years ago Trailer Life stopped supporting the software and so updates became unavailable. That was OK with me because the major highways and distances don't change. But the list of stopping places just got too out of date.

I know that Good Sam and FMCA will do a route plan for me. But, their plans are not instantly apparent, and I would much rather have the option to change my mind (or have it over-ruled) en route. So, I am wondering what other people use as their routing/planning software.

Any suggestions?

We've used DeLorme's Street Atlas for over 20 years. You don't need internet to plan your trip and you can plan it any way you want with vias. You can then transfer it to your GPS.

I really liked the old Good Sams trip planner, and used it a lot. The print out with distance, times, checkpoint, fuel stops, campgrounds, rest area was very useful. I could lay it on the dash, and glance at it at my leisure.

The new one subcontracted to Rand McNally on their web site is lacking. I keep trying, but am about to give up. One more complaint. The new Good SAMs use to have the option to click on the link to the old version. I can't seem to find that now. I use both a Windows laptop, and IPad , along with a Rand McNally GPS
