Not boon docking, but Elephant Butte Lake State Park is close by and is pretty nice. Not free, but also not too bad on cost being a state park and not a private campground. Most sites are 30 amp, and elec and water only. Have to go to dump station to dump.

Thanks for your reply. I had tried to get on their website earlier but no joy. Am planning to to the Balloon Fiesta and go to the Space Port either before or after and am looking for a close location.

Caballo Lake State Park is closer to Space Port south of T or C.
If you belong to Moose Lodge. They have a nice campground on north end of town. $10 a night. This where we stay. On south side of town there is a public dump station.
You should not have a problem with sites at Elephant Butte in October. They have boondocking area's.
There is also a Walmart.
If you are taking the bus tours to Space Port they start in downtown T or C.

Thank you, I hope to attend the last 4 days, I like the idea of a relaxed departure, everyone takes their time and are all going in the same direction.
