I'm going to Williamsburg for vacation this summer. I've heard a lot of good things about the campground at New Port News, but they don't have sewerage hookups and since I'll be there for a week, I really want the sewerage hookups. So, with that being said, I have narrowed my choices down to two places: Jamestown Beach Campground and American Heritage Campground.

I would like the opinions of people that have stayed at or driven through one or both. At the moment I'm leaning toward AH because it appears to have fewer, but larger campsites. I'll most likely be going the week of July 4.

Thank you.

We stayed at Jamestown beach in Aug 03. The place is a dump ! The place has been neglected for years. It has the look of a early 70s campground that had never upgraded (or cleaned) anything since built.
Sorry for the harshness but we were hugely disappointed.
