Tsali National Recreation Area

Planning a trip to North Carolina for mountain biking, kayaking and gem mining (for the wife) so I thought we would try the Tsali campground. It seems this is intended for tent camping and I have a 22' TT but reviews say it should fit. We will arrive on a Sunday afternoon/evening so getting a campsite shouldn't be an issue. Anyone have any thoughts or recommendations on this area?

Thanks,
Ed

Iíve never camped there but have driven thru a few times while biking there. As I recall there are several sites a 22 footer would fit, but there were no hookups. Might want to stay over in Bryson City if dry camping is not desired.

Thanks for the input. Dry camping isn't an issue.

Yes, and 31' won't be an issue.

We arrived on a Monday and only a few other campers were there. Since the next weekend was a MTB race the campground filled up. The CG host said that it only fills when there is some type of event.
