Hello,
I M going to spend two months this winter in Tucson Az. Does anyone have a recommendation for a good RV park? I will have a medium size dog with me.
Thanks
Chuck

There are decent RV parks in Tuscon....The one I used was in South West Tuscon. Rincon Country West.... Clean....lots of amenities and have a pet policy in place. Looks like a retirement community when you stand back and look it over.
Decent access to the shopping areas and eclectic shops.

We agree with Gocoffeer concerning Rincon. We stay at Voyager RV resort on I-10 at Kolb road, too. It is a huge resort, and has different sections for folks that like, or dislike pets. Has lots to do, is a busy place but not too noisy. There are campgrounds just north of downtown, along with a bit further north in Marana. We stayed at Crazy Horse once, and were chased around by the feral javelina pigs! Lots of places to stay, you just need to pick one based on your taste and/or needs. BTW, you did not mention the exact dates for your trip. Be advised, the Tucson Gem, Mineral, and Fossil show is from the middle of January thru the end of February, and most sites will already be sold out. Start looking now! Good luck!

Last year we spent most of January at Desert Trails RV Park. It's west of town with trails into Tucson Mountain Park. We have two dogs (Portuguese Water Dogs). As I recall there was a small extra charge. Lots of activities, good access to town, and very friendly guests. Only complaint was the local wifi speed, but that's a whole other can of worms (it worked for emails once we bought their booster).
Next door is a smaller park called Justins. We'd probably head there next time.

There is a Rincon east there also. A very nice place also and depending on what why where you need to be an other option.

We also stay at Voyager, it's about $650 plus electric. The Adventure Bound on Houghton Road is $500 plus elec, Rincon east & west are pricey $679 to $705 plus elec. Tra Tel is in midtown but they are booked solid as of December, Prince of Tucson is $500 plus elec. Far Horizons is $575 to 750 plus elec. I called all of them last month because we thought we were going in Oct but things changed. I called almost every one listed on www.campgroundreviews.com.

Lazy Days RV in Tucson which is now a KOA has nice concrete level pads. We took a day trip to Tombstone, Az which was really nice! Full of history. Make sure you stop in to Big Nose Kate's Saloon. There is a stairway in the middle of the Saloon which leads down to an old silver mine! Also the court house/museum is worth the trip!

We stayed at Justin's Diamond J RV Park last year. Nice clean safe park with trails leading out into the Tuscon Mountain State Park & Saguaro National Park East beside the state park. Lots of trails for hiking, walking, walking your dog & mtn biking. I was on the trail almost everyday.
