few suggestions:
1. if you plan on driving the Oregon Coast, drive north to south, all the pull outs are on the west side near the ocean, makes it easy to pull over and see the sights.
2. Driving thru Seattle is a mess, drive thru town on weekend, and avoid rush hours.
3. Don't miss the Columbia Gorge.
4. a month is way too short, we take our time and spent a month in WA, 5 weeks in Oregon along last summer.
Happy Travels

Wow what a trip. And sure a bunch of great things to see and do, along the way.
I just laid out your mentioned cities and places on Google Maps. 6715 miles in 30 days, is 233 miles each and every day. A trip we have talked about taking ourselves. You are going to be on the move for sure. Easier of course in your C, and without a toad, should be fun. Some of your miles are just long days getting out west to the best of the best. We often do huge big mileage days for the first 2 or 3 days. Everything we might miss in the near by states we see on shorter trips. We did 17 days to Billings, but did 400 to 600 mile first and last days. We rushed thru Yellowstone in 3 nights, 2 days. Other times we have spent 5 days in San Fran, 4 days in Seattle, and still missed much on our list. Hope you can slow down once on the coast and in the NW.
Mt. Rushmore to home is only 1522 miles, two long days. Sure wish there was a" beam me up Scotty unit" to get us home sometimes after a month away, and work on Monday's.
I too have read a number of times to always try to do the west coast North to South, for the many great turnouts on the ocean side of the roads. Several motorcycle friends have done it both ways as small groups, the north bound trips were not as easy, or safe, getting into and out of the scenic places across the traffic.
Enjoy the time and more.

Thanks All...
Actually we will most likely be away maybe 6 weeks or so as we are visiting family all along the way.
Looking forward to California North Bound, long few days, lots to see.... Not looking forward to Cal fuel costs, yuck...

Our trip planning sheet template now has a Miles ays block. The sweet spot for us is about 85, ie. 595 miles per week or 1,190 miles in a two-week span.
