US2E and M28

We are investigating alternate routes from Steep Rock Manitoba through the US and back into Canada to Toronto. As an alternative to going I29 through North Dakota and then I 94 we are wondering if the US 2E into Minnesota and the M28 are suitable highways for big rigs. Anybody have any advice on this?

Bill.
I travel from the Bridge in Upper Michigan to the Fargo ND area every year with a 40 foot Revolution and a tow dolly or a car hauler and the highway 2 is great. A lot of it is 55MPH and most is two lanes each way with a median. It has a lot of scenery and many Campgrounds. I highly recommend highway 2 as a travel route to Michigan.
