VA and WV Mountain

Has any one been north on I77 from Statesville, NC to Charleston, WV? How is the climbing and descending mountains? I am driving a gas burner and towing.

We did it in our 36 foot Holiday Rambler Diesel and we didn't have a problem at all. We were able to keep up and pass the trucks. You should make it. You will have some slow going.

Pretty long and steep grades. I would expect to see speeds of 45 - 50 in places. Just past the Mt. Airy NC area is the first good climb.

I've done it several times in a 38 foot gasser towing a CRV. Never dropped below 55.

I traveled that Rt a lot and I had a 2001 36'Bounder Ford V10 pulling a CRV with no problems. Just a little slow at times when I got caught behind a truck.
