Vacation help aug 1-5th
My gf and I just purchased a 2015 cyclone 4200 last month. Her birthday is August 2nd she will be 26, looking for somewhere fun to take her with the cyclone. We live in Austin, tx. Thinking 800 miles "ish" one way for the max I'll drive. We are both off 1st thru 5th of August. Thought about going down to the coast but not so much after hearing about the bacteria levels and that guy in buda having to get his leg amputated due to flesh eating bacteria.

Hi John. Might consider Ruidoso, NM; Palo Duro Canyon, or Ft Davis. All within 1 long day's drive.

Hey Scott, you staying cool? This heat is killing me. Working down here just across the border in Mexico. Yea I was thinking red river nm, been there twice. Winter 08 and summer '14. I love it there. This will be a surprise trip. I wouldn't be opposed to somewhere new. That whole area is beautiful. Summer in red river was very nice. 50's at night 70's during the day

Try Ruidoso, NM - Circle B RV has big shady sites. It's cooler up there than anywhere in Texas. Since acquiring your new RV you now need to put it's information (size) in your signature so it appears with each post so when you talk about it, ask questions or are looking for a place to park it, folks can help out easier. Have fun with it!

Yes I do, I've tried to figure it out and thought I got it in there. Can you direct me through the steps? And yes it is much cooler up there, stayed in red river by myself summer '14 for couple days when coming back from horse show in Colorado and it was so much fun and better than winter there. 50's at night 60-70's during day when I was there.

Here's a link that explains how to add a signature on post #10. It also has a lot more helpful info.

John, did you say you only had 5 days? Its about 750 mi each way to Red River. Let's face it, it's a long way from Austin, TX to any cool weather in August.
