Valley of Fire State Park

Just got back from three great days at the Valley of Fire State Park. They now have water and 50A, 30A, and 20A hook ups...

Is that in ALL the campgrounds, or just particular ones. That is good news, even if it is one. We stayed in LV and made the trip through The Valley of Fire in the TOAD. What a beautiful ride. It would have been even nicer to have stayed in The Valley.

They have about 1/3 of the campground reserved for RV camping with hook ups. Some of the spaces have a fairly steep back to front slope that should be corrected (IMO), but all-in-all the spaces are pretty good and all have a great view of the area. The sites are far enough apart to be comfortable.

Thanks for pic, John. Great pairing -- a gorgeous motor home against the beauty of VOF red rock.

DW and I visited Las Vegas for (my) first time in 2009. Both Harley riders, we rented Harleys and rode the area for two back to back days. Put about 1,000 miles on our steeds before turning them in. We ended up focusing on Valley of Fire where the roads are perfect, the scenery stunning, the weather what those of us in the snow belt dream about at night. We had a complete ball and have often thought about doing it again. This time we can do so by camping with our motor home.

With your info, we are going to look into stopping on our first long trip west.

Thanks again for posting.
