Don't know what the wind is going to do for those planned stops. In Kirtland right now. Winds projected to gust to 60 mph tomorrow.

What to do, eh?
I sent you an email.

Darn! I should have read the email last night.

At 5:30 this morning I thought, Hmmm! Should get up and get on the road by 6:30 and make it to Page, AZ - roll over, sigh, snug as a bug in a rug, and now spending an extra day in Kirtland, NM (Could be named kitty litter land - sand, sand, and more sand everywhere - poor Miya is stopped up).

Anyhow, changed all reservations, will cut on day off LV (Been there done that anyhow) and hope the weather turns nice.

Presently at Homestead RV Park, Kirtland, NM

We have stayed at Valley of Fire state Park for 3 nights. The place is well above average, and we would certainly go back when passing through that area. Roads leading there was not perfect, but not a problem at all. Don't let that stop you!

There are no large supermarkets in the area around Valley of Fire state Park so stock up before coming.

We did pass through the place where Pat Garrett and Wm Bounty (Billy theKid) were primary characters, but it looked so boring that we didn't make a stop. Maybe we just didn't spot the attraction, but that's how we felt going through (no offence intended).

We got to Santa Fe at 10:30. ( 200 windy miles ), but not as windy as later in the day. My slide topper unfurled several times. I thought we would lose it. Makes a really loud noise when the spring brings it back in. Thought a truck hit us first time. We're at a great place ( Trailer Ranch ). NO SAND. Travel safe and stay in touch.
