Vancouver: Barnaby or Capilano river park?

Going to Vancouver labor day weekend for a week, in a 36 foot class A. Any recommendations as to Barnaby RV park or Capilano river?

Capilano seems more geared to full timers, but from what I have seen looks pretty clean and quite. With your rig, traffic will be a pain...Burnaby is central location and easy access to transit and Skytrain, but have never seen that park. Website looks pretty nice.

We stayed at Eagles Wind in Aldergrove. It's a bit further east but it was a nice quiet place. Very well kept and friendly people.

Getting out of Vancouver at the end of the day after some sightseeing was very problematic. Traffic was awful! It seems there is only one way in and one way out of the city. Since we were only going to Vancouver for a day it wasn't so bad. But if we did go again and plan to spend more than one day there we might stay in closer.

Also, a few folks recommended visiting Whistler for a day. There was no way we would do that leaving from Aldergrove (too far). Maybe another time.

Have a pleasant visit there.

Thanks. We plan on spending 3 or 4 days in Vancouver, maybe another in whistler. We have a dog with us, and want to be near enough to leave her in the rv.

It's been decades since we've been there, but we've stayed at the Capilano RV Park - right under the north end of Lion's Gate Bridge and you can actually walk across the bridge into Stanley Park. We've also stayed at the Dogwood RV Park out in Surrey - nice park with fairly easy access to public transit, but farther away from the downtown area.

I've stayed at the Capilano RV Park. This is the best for visiting Vancouver and is just a bit closer to Whistler. Its a good walk to Stanley Park and Gastown. It's a short walk to Food stores, restaurants and shops.
