After the FMCA Rally in Redmond, we are planning to travel north to Vancouver Island. We have heard that Goldstream is a good one for a base camp. We dont plan on moving the coach after we get on the island. Anyone know if our 40 footer will have any troubles at Goldstream?

Hello, just stumbled on to your question about Vancouver Island. If you are planning to stay in the Victoria area (south island) Goldstream is pretty good. If they have room for you as you are pretty big you will have no problem. I would suggest if you are planning to see more of the island to look at some of the campsites in the Naniamo area (more central island) and come and go from there. The new highway is very good and is more central to the island. You are looking at 1.5 hour drive to Victoria and about the same to the Comox Valley. Most of the Camping areas are on camping.bc.ca web site.
Have a great time on our island!!
