Vermont / New Hampshire

I am planning on a camping trip to Maine this summer. I would like to spend 2 or 3 nights in either Vermont or New Hampshire on the way (from PA). I would appreciate any reviews or advice on campgrounds in either state.

Thanks

Danforth Bay Camping Resort in Freedom, NH is a nice family run CG. It's about half way up in NH on the Maine border. It's at the junction of the lakes region and the white mountains.

In southern VT, Brattleboro North KOA is a wonderful little campground. Brattleboro North KOA | Camping in Vermont | KOA Campgrounds

If you go through central VT, Quechee Pine Valley is a great spot. Quechee / Pine Valley KOA | Camping in Vermont | KOA Campgrounds

And, if you choose a northern route through VT, Sugar Ridge in Danville is a very nice campground. Sugar Ridge RV Park Danville Vermont
Hope you enjoy your visit - VT has a lot to offer. Lived there for 40+ years and go back every chance I get.

Vermont is beautiful year round, but in the fall it is nothing short of stunning. In north central Vermont is the town of Stowe which should not be missed in your travels. There are bare bones camp grounds with full hookups very close to Stowe, but no KOA's or above in that area. From downtown Stowe, take Rt. 108 (Mountain Road) north through Smuggler's Notch. It's a beautiful mountain drive but for automobiles only!!! There is a hairpin "S" curve there that is flanked by boulders and a full sized pickup would be the max navigable size it would pass and that would be only with NO traffic in the opposing lane!!!
