This weather here in N Georgia is cloudy, overcast cold and basically miserable. We were getting cabin fever from sitting around the house and decided this afternoon to get out and ride just to see something different. Carol and I ended up in Royston (Hometown of the legendary Ty Cobb) Georgia. Found some pretty good barbecue and decided to take a look at the nearby state park - Victoria Bryant.
This park has been here since I was a small child, and that was MANY years ago. It has been just about that many years since I had been there. Anyway, the place has changed so much I did not recognize it. The RV camping area is great. The sites are all huge, level and well placed. The top area overlooks the woods and ravines of the park. A single site is big enough to accomodate two good sized RV. I'm not sure that is allowed, but this is just an indicator of their size. There were twin 30 amp hook-ups on the power posts. I don't know what to make of that.
The sites are paved in small gravel (granite) with wooden rails around most of the edges that overlook the lower areas of the park. No sewer

we were not even thinking about the park when we left.
There is a pretty challenging golf course there as well. Played it MANY years ago before the park was actually a park.
We both have vowed the first good weekend or sunny days, we are heading to Royston for a couple of days of camping.
