Victoria Canada help
Planning our first ever trip from Oregon to Washington to Victoria. Any suggestions regarding ferry crossing, such as cost, from where in Washington. Also any suggestions on RV parks in Victoria would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Check the BC Ferries website. Travelling from Tswassin to Victoria to Swartz Bay will be cheaper than from English Bay. The base rate is 55.40 for 20' plus 6.35 per foot over 20'. I think you have to pay a passenger fee for each person as well. If so it is 16.90.
Hope this helps. Victoria is a lovely city.

Washinton State ferry from Anacortes works well. You will need reservations. I think it makes just one trip a day but there may be a second trip during the summer. There are a couple of campgrounds in the Anacortes area.
If you are visiting Victoria, Fort Wilderness (I think) is pretty close to town. I have stayed there several times over the years. There are lots more options as you head up the island.
If you have limited time and just c want to see Victoria, you could take the Black Ball line out of Port Angeles. I don't know how large of vehicles it can take.

We were just on the Black Ball ferry from Victoria to Port Angeles and there were motor homes, 5th wheels and huge tractor trailers. This ferry has all of the vehicles in the lower, enclosed area of the ship, different from the Washington State ferries.

If you're pulling a toad; on B.C. Ferries ; separating and having the car driven on separately can save upwards of $75.

Don't have the Washington State Ferries web address.

I agree, and this applies to WA ferries as well.

No trip to Victoria is complete without having tea at the Empress Hotel.

Don't forget to visit Butchart Gardens.
There are many campgrounds and RV parks around Victoria.
