Visiting the Williamsburg VA area

Just arrived at Chickahominy Riverfront Park, near Williamsburg VA, for a weeks stay in the area. This county park campground did not show up in any of my usual research resources. It was recommended by friends who used to live in the area. It's a beautiful park with a number of big rig full hookup sites near or on the water.

What a great find in a great place.

We were in the area a couple of years ago and stayed at All American CG. Not bad but a typical over priced, family oriented, destination resort.

Loved the area though. Great history. Touring William and Mary and seeing the class rooms where Tomas Jefferson studied and the church with family pews for Washington and Jefferson. Somebody pinch me!

Gotta love those State and County Parks. There my favorite parks, but you have to check them out for camper size and low limbs. Jim

Agree. We wouldn't have stayed here if it weren't for our friends specific knowledge of not only the park, but a few specific sites. We were able to score their favorite.
