Ellen-
I've created maps using the "MyMaps" feature of Google Maps. They show the routes (loaded from our GPS), icons for places we stayed (with descriptions, ratings, and links to the park Web sites), and icons with descriptions and links to pictures for some of the things we saw. It's not as full-featured as a blog, but I couldn't find a blog app that was easy to use, either.
There are two drawbacks:
1) To share the maps, the viewing person needs to have a Gmail account (so you can give them permission to see your maps).
2) Google has a habit of abandoning apps, which means that some day the maps may go "poof," never to be seen again.
If you're interested in MyMaps, send me a private message that incudes a Gmail address and I can open one map up for you to view.
P.S.- There's a blog feature here on iRV2, I understand.
