If a manager/employee was questioned about if a owner of a RV that called them........what would their reply be to the officer do you think? Unless, they take your name and license plate number when one calls........do they do this, for the one's that call when parking, or for that matter , the ones that go inside and ask? Wondering?
I have been in some where there are RV's of all kinds, plus a great number of semi's............

When I call, I get the name of the person I'm talking to, ask where they'd like us to park (if their answer is yes) as well as make note of the date/time I called. Not to say they couldn't make up a false name (why would they?) if questioned, but I do get a name.

we use allstays.com for wally and other overnight parking info.
this website is kept up to date by users.
we always ask management or security ''where to park'' and always buy something.
we park on the outskirts so we can extend our bedroom slide over grass or whatever.
if we level with jacks, we always use plastic cutting boards or wood under the jacks.

As I have traveled around the North American continent these past 6 years moving from one major destination to another, I have stayed in MANY different FREE places overnight and each time I always deploy my slides making sure they will NOT be in someones way or cause a traffic problem. I run my generator to use the microwave and other stuff before retiring for the night. I level my coach but don't have any hydraulic jacks to lower only air leveling. I shop in the store if it is a retail store parking lot that I am using (usually spend MORE than a night at a local RV Park) or buy a meal if it happens to be a LARGE restaurant parking lot.
I always only stay ONE night. However, in some places I have asked permission to stay more than one night if I am visiting friends or relatives or have a special appointment that requires me to be there 2 nights.
I am not telling people what they should or should not do as it is entirely up to them UNLESS there are posted rules to follow.
Common sense should prevail over anything else!

Last year, I E-mailed Wal-Mart to ask specifically about using leveling jacks, generators and slides.
The response I received was the same standard statement that Wal-Mart welcome RVs to park overnight, when allowed by local law, that is on their website.
They don't seem to have a problem with jacks, generators or slides.

Just park there. If anyone knocks on the door just tell them you are with corporate and doing a surprise inspection in the morning. Tel them you don't check the parking lots but they might want to get back in the store and start scrubbing.

If you do spend that much, it is NOT "free camping," and makes me wonder WHY people stay there in the first place. As you can see if you travel through small American towns, Walmart is destroying everything from local downtowns to the local RV park. I can't blame some towns from imposing legislation against alleged "free" camping at Walmart.

It's FREE parking when you had planned on purchasing the needed supplies anyway!
It sure beats paying $30-$50 just to stay overnight PLUS not having to use your car to drive over to Walmart or some other store in the area and spend more money purchasing supplies.
To each their own but AFAIAC Walmart has it together WRT RVer's. BUT I really prefer shopping at Super Target's versus Walmart's. I wish that Target would have a similar RV policy.

AUKM -When others are already there DBA no need for F2F or phone. just find a place. I have seen up to 25 Canadian RV's in one parking area. That kind of tells me it's OK.
Wally parking is 1daful.

If you dont like abortion dont have one if you don't like porn dont watch it if you dont like gay sex dont have it. If you dont like parking at walmart dont park at walmart. If you dont like having your rights stepped on dont try take anyone elses rights away. Not sure I quoted this correctly from facebook but I like the message.

Good point, personally we have never asked, even if we were the only RV at the time.
Basically we just use it as a safety break to get a few hours of shut eye. Usually after midnight, and leave at first light. Always park in dark corner away from where I see employees parking who are working the night shift. Might go in the store in the morning for a needed supply...You know there is always something you forgot.
