Washington coastline

Anyone know a cheap, nice campground on 101 south of Seaside,Wash.Need to clean up after 3400 miles.across this beautiful country. The only other campground I hit along the way was a RV campground and shooting gallery.in Spokane.Never had so many dreams of fretting shot. But $15 who's complaining.?

First, Seaside is actually in Oregon. Most of the RV parks and campgrounds along the coast are certainly higher than $15 but there are lot of great options, commercial, SP, Forest Service etc in both WA and OR. Most will be in the $29 - 40 range depending on services provided. It just depends on which areas you want to visit.

Oh, right, 25,000+ extra people in town.

If you go into Oregon to stay, Ft Steven's state park is nice. The KOA across from the park entrance was VERY expensive, for a KOA. We like Harbor View at Garibaldi, OR and within an easy walk they have great food at The Troller.

If you mean south of Seaside Oregon, then I'd recommend Nehalem Bay State Park...lovely state park right by the beach and only 1 mile from Manzanita which will have everything you need. You can't wash rigs there, if that was what you meant by getting "cleaned up", but it's a fabulous park. Rates will be $24 for 30 amp/electric.
Here's my recent stay review:

If you're just looking for a basic cheap place and don't care about hookups, then I'd recommend the RV park by Tillamook Air Museum. It costs $10/night for simple, but clean sites. Nice location, nothing fancy, but you can't beat the price.

If you're looking for a full service park with all the bells and whistles then check out the RV resort in Cannon Beach

In addition to the Tillamook RV park, there is FREE boondocking at the Air Museum itself. We were there last year.

Oh, out by Liberty Lake, WA. They didn't do night shoots did they? Actually almost directly across the freeway from there is the CW store. Next time holler and we'll find a place for you.

Hmmm? We were just there 2 weeks ago and specifically asked. They said no overnight camping in the lot? The only place they had was the park right next door at $10/night (used to be $5, but they recently increased it). Perhaps I didn't ask nicely enough ?

Nina (WheelingIt): Tillamook Air Museum must have changed their policy, unfortunately. It was a nice quiet place with even a restaurant. Sounds like you found better places though this past trip!
