Cherry Hill Campsites

Hello all you Cherry Hill fans! We're planning a trip to DC this summer...based on all of the positive comments, Cherry Hill seems to be 'the place' to stay! That being said, can you recommend which 'Premium RV Sites' are the best location in the campground? We're traveling with our friends, so we need to be able to pick our sites when we reserve to assure that we are next to each other.

Thanks!

We have stayed in pull through sites 614, 612, 610 and were happy.

Fredericksburg, Va KOA

4 years back stayed at KOA south of Fredericksburg, Va. We had business in Virginia and this worked out for us. CG has van shuttle to the train station in Fredericksburg and also picked us up when we returned. About an hour to the central train station in DC. Then easy walk thru terminal to tour bus. Like most here, we did not want to drive into DC.

My wife and I both use mobility scooters. Can anyone enlighten us on using them in the DC area? We would not have an issue hiring a private van or vehicle to transport us. We just really need the scooters once we arrive at some of the sights.

Myron,

Not much help other than to check

Metro - Home page

for info on Metrobus and Metrorail access for your scooters to get into town.

I would suggest doing research on the places you want to go in advance of your trip to make your experience the best. Not that I expect access via scooter will be an issue but I know some restrictions have been put in place at some locations in terms of what you can bring, etc. so it is best to plan ahead.

Hope that helps a bit and have a great time!
