Waterton Lakes, Canada Camping

We are thinking of a trip in our 33" Damon, (workhorse chassis,) going from the east side of Glacier National Park, to visit Waterton Lakes National Park in Canada. Any tips on where to stay or road warnings would be appreciated. Thanks.

I was there last month with my 30ft. Class C and had no problems. There is a provincial campsite right in the village of Waterton and one a few miles from the village. Great hiking and bike trails.
There is one day hike that maybe still available where you have to sign up for a few days before.
It will take you from the village of Waterton and back into Glacier. Then it's a tour boat ride back on the lake to the village. You will find a few coffee shops, restaurants and pubs too in Waterton. Make sure you have a full tank. Gas/ Fuel prices are high at the one and only Gas Station there.
Enjoy your visit.

We were there last year in our 32VS Southwind, towing a car. We stayed in the village townsite campground, would suggest you make reservations if you want full hook-ups. A great campground, right on the lake, and convenient to the village.

Waterton Lakes has its own particular beauty and is worth the trip.
When we visited Waterton Lakes we used to toad to travel from Johnson's Campground & RV Park, St Mary, MT - Camping with a View of Glacier National Park
on US 89 in East Glacier. It didn't take all that long to drive, and that way you only have the car at the border crossing. A very scenic drive and nice road.
If you are heading to East Glacier from the west, here is a tip. Take US 2 in to Browning and go north on SR 464. That way is much less windy (back and forth/up and down) than US 89. SR 464 meets US 89 about 7 miles north of St. Mary's. It's a good two lane road with few curves.
