Weather in Yellowstone in Late September

I have reservations for Sept 15 - 24 in Yellowstone at Fishing Bridge and Madison campgrounds. Does anyone have any personal experience with the weather at that time of the year in these locations. The cool temperatures are not a big concern, but I don't want to see any snow.

I know at this time, the tourists will be gone and the wildlife active, so looking forward to a great trip.

Also, headed to Gros Ventre in the Grand Tetons after I leave Yellowstone, so any suggested routes would be appreciated as would any comments on my schedule.

You might see snow and temps in the teens at night with 70s during the day. Don't bet on the tourists being gone; we'll be there then!

We were at Bridge Bay Campground in Yellowstone until Sept 15th in '10. We got snow on the 13th that closed the pass going toward Cody. Over night lows in the 30s. I enjoyed it at that time of year.

We were in Tetons last year in mid-September and it was gorgeous. We are going again this year 9/6-9/21 and will stay longer if they extend the season at Colter Bay.

But, you never know what Mother Nature will do!

We were there 2012 till 5th October and saw no snow
(Fishing Bridge closed on 3rd Oct.)
Going again this year 20th of Sept and expect coolish temps.
Others have said expect snow any time of year.
As for tourists, I expect there will be more than the 3 of us there but not like the crazy crowds in the previous 3 months.

Laker,
We stayed at West Yellowstone Grizzly RV which is open till Oct 20 this year.
We now have a 45 ft coach so can't stay inside the park even if we wanted to.
We are leaving LA on 3rd sept.
We have only booked Colter Bay and Grizzly RV and intend to wing it for the rest including Yosemite on the way back.
