Wells Maine in April?

Looking for a campground that is open in April. Have 40 foot Monaco. Anyone aware of a park that is open then?

Thanks.

Don't mean to be smart but there is a big difference between early April and late April in Maine weather wise. When are you coming?

Most campgrounds in Maine open around April 15th depending on weather. Sorry but it depends...! Sometime between last frost and black flies.

We close on the new house the first of April. However, I am going to try to delay a couple of weeks. So to answer you, possibly both dates.

I think the only place you will find open the first week in April is Beach Rose, about an hour away in Salisbury, MA.Beach Rose RV Park - Closest private campground to Atlantic Ocean at Salisbury Beach

Try the KOA in Saco Maine. They may be open if weather permits and I can assure you they can accomadate 40' coaches. They are located north of Wells and just off 95 on Rt #1.

Also "Silver Springs" in Saco. They may or may not be open then. Call and ask for Marion. They are closed now but leave a message and she will call back.

FYI, Even though there is a Cabella's at the Scarborough exit off Rt 95, don't plan on overnighting there. Overnight parking in the parking areas is prohbited by the town. They do have a dump station that is open year round but water is shut off during freezing weather. Just making sure you don't think you can stay there for a night or two. You can't.

Walmart in Biddeford is an okay place for an overnight or two. Turn right at the Biddeford exit. Walmart is on your left. Shopping galore in the imediate area.

Let me know if you need more info.

Thanks for the good info. I will check the info out about the koa. I have stayed there before. Parked in the rear of the park.
