West Coast Monthly Campground
I'm looking for a monthly spot to move in asap in California.
Here's what I'd like to find:
$400-$600/mo
50a
Nice trees/redwoods
Close to a real city (Santa Cruz, LA, SF, SJ etc.)
No hassle cash up front move in
Any suggestions?

Good Luck - I live in California for 20 years and finding anything "close" to a major city that is "nice" under $ 750 a month will be tough. For your price range I would expect you to be 40+ miles away from city centers (more if you are talking LA or SF).
However I don't want to be all doom and gloom, you are asking the right people and I sure hope that the collective brains here know some great little hideaway spots that fit your criteria.

I honestly can't think of anything that cheap in the area. Gilroy Garlic Farm may be your best bet. Well rated park with monthly rates of $625/mo + elec. Probably not as close as you'd like to SJ, Santa Cruz etc, but it may be the best value

I could do $750 if need be. I'd rather it be less but no biggie.

I am using Thousand Trails regional membership and staying at the TT Morgan Hill quite a bit of the time. In/out restrictions but pretty low cost overall. Might be an option to consider.

If you're not picky about exact city (CA is a big place) you could look at Santee Lakes which is around 1/2 hour from San Diego. Very nice, green park with trees, lakes. $700/mo + elec. just about as nice as you can get close to a big city.

They allow stays up to 6 months and then you have to move out (for a week it so)

Are you looking for a campground or trailer/RV park? Those requirements in Cali are few and far between. Most campgrounds limit your stay to 14 days, but there are exceptions i'm sure. Now trailer/RV parks are another thing but getting into that price range close to the city will either cost you big or limit you to older parks or away from the areas you listed. I know 'cause i'm in one now, trees? What trees! But at $500 a month to stay there 5 days a week works for me so i don't have to commute. Add trees to the equation and your looking at $1000 a month minimum anywhere in the SF Bay/San Jose region that's close to jobs. Just my observations.

Might want to try Valencia Travel Village ( Valencia Travel Village | Valencia Travel Village is an RV Resort) about 35 miles north of LA off I-5 freeway. They advertise $835/month but if you're waiving greenbacks, the rate might be less.
