I have reservations for Duck Creek RV Resort in Muskegon for 10 nights and I will then head to Indian River RV Resort for 7 nights. This should give me plenty of time to explore Michigan.

The Traverse City State Park is actually "in town" but you might have problem navigating a 37' towing a toad. The beach is across the street. You could drop the toad there until you get the RV setup and walk back (<10 minutes).

If you're looking for a place between Holland & Manistee, I'd suggest Poncho's Pond in Luddington. Nice sized sites. We have a 37ft Bounder towing a CRV & had no issues there.
Just a wee-bit south of Holland (30mi) is Sunny Brook. Another place easy to navigate. We pulled into a site that was a back-in so we could face the pond. Electric cord was too short but office was very nice & lent us a 50a extension at n/c.
I don't think you could go wrong with either campground.

For the lower area stay between Holland and Manistee. You're going to need reservations as the coast is a very, very busy time in summer. September/October would be better.

Yep, That's what we are thinking. We've never been to Michigan, so we wanted to check out the West coast there before going out the top and across the 'UP' on our way towards Yellowstone and parts West.

Thanks for all the ideas.
Now it's time for me to get online and look at all the campgrounds suggested.

Muskeegan, MI - Duck Creek Resort is a great park for the southern part of your stay.

If you like state parks, there are nice ones all the way up the west coast, but they reserve quickly that time of year. One that doesn't seem to get as much pressure is Orchard Beach State Park in Manistee. (beach is gone)
If you like to boondock, there are many state forest campgrounds from mid-hand on up to the U.P. Check the Michigan DNR site for details.
Have a great trip!
