We went to Sullivan Lake in Northeast Washington this weekend. We reserved our site online which made checking in a non event. Both of us were pleasantly surprised at the size of the site. The vault toilets were well maintained as was the rest of the campground. Across the runway was East Sullivan campground. Neither campground has hookups so be prepared to boondock.

The lake has something to offer just about everyone water sports, fishing, and plenty of hiking. There is even a designated dog swim area.

This was our first trip with the entire family of four plus Great Dane in the trailer. I could go back again to explore the area. Just be mindful of the wildlife. According to the ranger that part of the state has more bears per square mile than anywhere else in the U.S. other than Alaska.

Glad you are enjoying WA, it is a great place to spend the summer. I still like TX in the winter. Have you tried the camping around lake FDR?

Lake FDR is on my list of to do's. I just don't know how we are going to fit all of the great places the Northwest has to offer in before winter.
