bdaball, TGO is The Great Outdoors a Florida RV resort featuring resort homes and Florida villas catering to RV owners. GaryKD's own language. GTO I guess was a typeo. Should be TGO.

Check it out on google.

thanks. Taking a hard look at TGO now for 2009-10 winter. Any advise regarding owner-rentals, site only?

We live in South Florida (near Ft. Lauderdale) and have either stayed or drove thru many of CGs near our home and found a favorite weekend CG near La Belle, FL. Checkout this link to see some info and pics on them http://hereslucy.squarespace.com/florida/

Suggested CGs to consider....

Ortona South COE CG - 6 miles east of LaBelle, FL. located on the Caloosahatchee River section of the Okeechobee Waterway. Not full hookup and can only stay 2 weeks at a time but if you like CGs vs resorts some times a great place.

Larry & Penny Thompson Memorial Park (Miami Dade) Full hookup.

C.B. Smith Park (Broward County) Full Hookup.

All of these are very popular snowbird parks so make reservations early if you want to get in.

~~~
Some other Florida CGs in that link too. Click on smaller pics to enlarge.
