What CG to visit 4-5 hrs south of NYC, beginning of April

We are looking to get away for a few days over Easter. Beach areas are out, not warm enough yet.
Anyone have any destinations they can share?
Thanks, I am drawing a blank....

Cherry Hill RV Park , College Park Md. 219 miles about 3 1/2 hours. Great CG to stay if you want to visit Washington DC.

Patapsco Valley State Park in MD. One of our favorites and is a good contrast to Cherry Hill. Cherry Hill is a developed park, Patapsco is not. Both are nice choices.

Gettysburg is one of our favorites. Maybe 4 hours southwest.

Thank you for the replies.......are any of these or others a destination campground? I mean the campground is the attraction and or they supply transportation to / from local attraction. We won't have a car and would enjoy tennis, fishing...campground stuff.
Thanks again.

At Cherry Hill ( mentioned above ) you can't play tennis or fish , however a bus stops at the CG that takes you to the train to visit Wash DC. It takes less than a hour.

Did you need a car to tour the sites or did CG have transportation?

A car is best but there are some tours that will pick you up.

But, check closely on your timing. April is early for south-central PA and while some things are open, many are not or are running on very limited schedules. Hersheypark is closed until May, and in May is only open weekends until later in the month.
