In September clubs (I belong to 7) usually post their camping schedules for the next year. I sit down with a calendar and put them all in. Then I look to see which ones might be close to one another and start planning. This month I will leave on Thursday 2/27 and not come back until May. I start at Thousand Trails in Columbus (TX) for two rallies there then head for the San Antonio area. I start out at Bandera for the Texas Boomers rally and go between there and Thousand Trails Medina Lake for the next six weeks. I don't travel very far by myself but I do enjoy time in my motorhome.

Thumbs up Cool but not too high

We often go to the Adirondack Mountains in Upstate NY. Places to see would include Lake Placid (many Winter Olympic training venues) , and Lake George.

Florida West Coast (Homosassa) last 2 weeks in January that included the FMCA SEA Rally in Brooksville.
Lower Keys Florida last half of May.
Cincinnati OH mid July for the Jimmy Buffet Riverbend show.
Haven't gotten as far down the calendar as September/October yet!

And several long weekend trips closer to home in between.

We have a wedding in Knoxville TN the last weekend of April. From there we are going to Goshen IN for the Holiday Rambler Diesel Pushers Maintenance Session and the following week, off to Buffalo NY area for a visit with family. Heading back to Nashville TN area the end of May.

Mid August we are heading to Wilmington NY to take our little grandson to the North Pole NY.

November we are heading to Port Aransas TX to meet friends for a week then stop in Houston for a week or so.

Hopefully we'll end up in Florida at some point!

Three Month Trip

Just purchased 2007 Providence 40X DP, planning a three month journey from South Alabama through the South West to Grand Canyon, maybe turning north to Yellow Stone, skipping California (this trip) heading across the northern US and back home and then heading back up the eastern sea board for the fall colors.

This is my first trip in an RV, any suggestions? Routes?

Thanks
Tom

As we live and work in Anchorage Alaska and only can take 4-5 day weekend trips donít get to far from home. The weather has a lot to do about if we go north or south (itís Alaska). Try to get out at least one long weekend a month from April till late October.

Just came back from 2 weeks in Key West. In May we go to Charleston for a week. July 4th week and Labor Day Week in Cape May, NJ and then October for a week in Watkins Glen to watch the leave changes and visit the Wineries. Then we start all over again for 2 weeks in Key West in January 2015.
