- Buckhorn RV Resort (Texas) - close to Texas wine country and in hill country
- Grizzly RV Resort (West Yellowstone) - best place for park
- Wine Country RV Resort - central CA wine country
- Air Force Academy FamCamp - if your eligible; top rated golf course in DoD
- Top Sail State Park (Florida) - best state park we've stayed in (spots 103-107 for satellite)

We stayed at a Campground in Marshall Texas on the way to the FMCA Rally in Shreveport. A young couple in a travel trailer parked next to us. We had our lights out watching TV. They started playing a cad game where the loser had to remove a piece of clothes. The girl was topless when I told my DW, who made me pull down the blinds. Never did find out who won the game. Eddie Elk.

If you limit yourselves to RV resorts with great amenities you will miss out on a lot of great experiences. Waking up to a view of Half Dome in Lower Pines CG in Yosemite National Park and elk walking through your campsite in Trailer Park CG in Grand Canyon National Park are a couple that come to mind. The campgrounds are not RV resorts but the experiences are unforgettable.

We stay mostly at State campgrounds in California. Our favorite by far is Mackerricher state park in Fort Bragg California.
All sites at most a 3 minute walk to the beach and some have a great view of the beach. We have been going there as a family for 20 years and will continue to go. Our kids have gone there since they were born and love it. Nice town, beaches, wineries close by, great fishing, close to the town of Mendocino, the Skunk train, glass beach and some really good restaurants.

What was the best RV park you have ever stayed at?

The many places we stayed, no matter how grand they may been, are far outshined by the treasures we have been so very fortunate to experience.
Our RV and the park are mostly just what we come home to.
Happy Trails, and may the Journey also by Your Destination!
