What's Moab Utah like in July

Thinking of going to Moab in July how's the weather. Is it too hot?

Good chance it will be TOO HOT! But you might get lucky...

Been there then and headed for the Mountains of Colorado, Cool and refreshing at 8-10,000 feet.

Best of Luck,

No. After an early morning visit to Arches, you can tube down the Colorado River and then drive up into the mountains behind town for a cool evening picnic.

It would be recommended to do any hiking or trail riding very early morning. By 10am it will be HOT. Take double the water you normally carry.

We were there 8/22-27/2016. Highs were about 88 lows were 60. One A/C in 31 ft and all was well. Turned off the A/C about 9 pm and opened the windows.

I was in Moab last summer, the beginning of Aug for a week. Ran the A/C two days. Dry air made it quite nice. Nights were very comfy.

We were there in August 2015 and while it was hot in late morning/afternoon it was not unbearable. Do your hiking in the morning. We saw plenty of people heading out as we were just getting back and they were in for a toasty stroll through the rocks.

Compared to where I live down by Palm Springs Ca. Moab in July we needed a jacket Well maybe not really. Like others have said don't do you major hiking mid-day.

We were there last summer and the summer before mid July - Early August. It was warm but didn't slow us up. It's great - don't miss it.

It's all about perspective. I personally find the high desert to be refreshing from where we live. I'm good to 100 degrees as long as it's dry and cools down at night.

My Avatar picture was taken just outside of Moab. We loved it!
