Question When does hibernation end in the cold, snowy north??

Just wondering when everyone in the cold, snowy north takes their motorhomes out for the first weekend trip? We're in Michigan - and depending on weather, we would LOVE to be able to get out mid March! I was curious as to when everyone takes their coaches out of storage??

Born2RV;
I'm in Michigan too and I figure as soon as the roads are dry and the salt trucks are being converted back to summer use I'll be on the road.

We usually take the cover off (weather permitting) around April 1. I think the earliest we've been camping is about mid-April. 1 year it was 75 degress, then, the next year, it snowed at that time.

Well, Colorado is no match for winter in Michigan. The last three years, we have headed south in early February and it has been a challenge every time to get the coach out of storage (had to have the lot owner plow a path to our rig once), get loaded without slipping on an ice covered driveway, and try to find the right time to add water and hope for no plumbing surprises. There should be an olympic sport of wrestling a frozen stiff 50 amp cord into a coil to fit into the storage compartment.

But I am talking about going for an extensive time. Only going for a weekend? At our ages, I don't think we could get motivated unless the weather was real cooperative. When our kids were young, we used our class C to go skiing many times, but the rig was simpler and we could get along with minimum services and power.
