We are heading to the lake or out the back door. Same thing.

The MH is our winter home to escape the cold.

Cool

Leaving next Wednesday for my Brothers Hobby Farm 45 minutes from home. His Hobby Farm is on Lake Sara just west of Mpls. He lets us park the MH in front of his place with a lake view, he can still see the lake also, we will be down a small hill. He can't see us in the MH and we can't see him in his S&B. There are a couple folks that try and out do the other with fire works that go off over the lake. Really nice we go out on his pontoon. The rest of the weekend we will be doing some fishing and a few games of Krokay(sp) . 2 days of tagging along with him going to Flea markets. Not sure how long we will stay.

Can't hardly wait. we hope every one has a safe and Happy 4th

Staying home. We live on the only one of the San Juan Islands of Washington State that you can drive to (Fidalgo Island). Anacortes has lots of things going on over the holiday and we'll probably have #3 daughter, S-I-L and 9 year-old grandson visiting.

We have a "community photograph" done every year by our local weekly newspaper. We all gather at a cross-roads in the middle of town and the photographer goes up on a Fire Department cherry-picker and takes a photo. Anacortes is a town of about 18,000 population, and I would guess that half of us show up.

We also have a parade through town, usually augmented by a fly-over by a couple of airplanes from Whidbey NAS. In the evening, there's a fireworks show over the city marina.

No need to leave home and fight with all the other folks out there!

We are going camping for a long weekend this weekend instead. We seldom go camping on a holiday weekend - places are way too crowded on holidays. We use holidays usually for projects around the sticks & bricks.
