Where did YOU stay - Smithsonian

If I was so inclined to take the family to the Smithsonian, what CG that you stayed in, would you recommend?
Big rig friendly, close in...you know, the normal stuff...

Cherry Hill RV in MD. Search this forum, by far the best choice.

Cherry Hill RV Park in Maryland is the closest RV park to Washington DC. It is a large, big rig friendly RV park.

You can take a bus, or drive your car, to the DC train system park & ride nearby the RV park, and then take the train into the city. It makes finding a parking spot a lot easier.

Safe travels.

Since I live here, I've never actually stayed at anything here. However, with that said, I will "cosign" for Cherry Hill.

Last year we stopped off to see several family members in VA right near DC. We started of at Aquia Pines Camp Resort ($46 a night) and left after the first night even thou we had reserved more and went to Prince William Forest RV Campground ($31 a night) and ended up staying a few days longer than originally planned. We enjoyed the 2nd so much more than the first. Besides being much more friendly and way easier to get in and out and the wi-fi was better it was cheaper too on top of it.
