How is Lake City?

The first Picture in this Thread is the Alpine Loop. #1 so you are close - that was 1160 posts ago - let's hope they never widen the Alpine loop into Silverton - just too Beautiful/and Wild.

This Road does go through Ouray, but Ouray is not the Correct Answer. Thinking the Highway. Might be one of the most discussed Highways/Routes in all the country discussed on RV forums

Anyway - ran across these and just had to Post as a reference to How Wide and Easy the road is today - compared to 1946.
